Join us on an adventure to explore both the heavens and earth in the otherworldly landscape of Bryce Canyon National Park! Trek through the blazing orange hoodoo rock formations, wander along the rainbow trails, and see the stars like never before in this Night Sky Sanctuary. Thanks to the elevation and climate, you can see over 7,500 stars with over 1.2 million light-years of visibility. These are perfect conditions to view the Milky Way in all of its glory, as well as glimpses of some of the other night-sky wonders.
Our five-day / four-night program invites creatives to explore, learn, and express themselves among the dramatic backdrop of Bryce Canyon's many wonders.
Highlights include:
• Explore the cosmos with a group of like-minded creatives!
• Enjoy lectures about the universe, mythology of the cosmos, and astrology
• High elevation and clear skies create one of the best constellation gazing spots in the United States
• Sketch and hike through Bryce Canyon National Park's trails and otherworldly landscapes
• World's largest collection of hoodoo rock formations in Navajo Loop and Queen's Garden Trail, Inspiration Point, and Sunset Point
• Interpret your Astrological Birth Chart and learn more about how the planets / houses influence your destiny.
• View the Red Cliffs Recreation area, known for dinosaur fossils and bright red soil
• Plant and animal ID workshop — learn about the flora and fauna, and a thriving desert ecosystem
• Morning plein air painting session as we overlook the colorful Hoodoos on Fairyland Loop Trail
AND OF COURSE... Plenty of time for creative conversation, sketching the gorgeous surroundings, and tons of LGAL led activities! .

MEALS:
This program includes all meals. We offer family-style meals for breakfast and dinner, and bag lunches for our adventures on the go. We will do our best to accommodate participants dietary restrictions, so please let us know if you have any severe allergies and we can try our best to accommodate your needs.
ACTIVITY LEVEL:
This is a moderate-to-high activity level trip that includes outdoor hiking. We will be walking a great deal, so please be aware when planning for the journey. Participants should be ready to explore on foot and a spend a large amount of time outdoors. The average Utah temperature in Summer is 85-100 degrees Fahrenheit. We expect all types of weather, and will provide a packing list to participants in advance of the trip.
Please note that parts of Bryce Canyon can reach between 6000-9,000ft. Since this is a high elevation area, we recommend drinking plenty of water, taking your time on the trails, and monitoring your time outside.
FLIGHTS:
Flights are not included in the price of this program as people may be joining us from all over the country or beyond!
We encourage people to look into flights to St. George, UT or Las Vegas, NV, Anyone wishing to spend more time in the area may also request information on other fun things to see while your'e in town, or recommendations on how to extend your trip!

The Light Grey Art Camp Programs are all about traveling to incredible spaces with like-minded people who want to take in culture, arts, history, and gorgeous natural spaces with their sketchbooks in hand! Whether you are an experienced traveler or someone just venturing out for the first time, we have everything set up so you can just relax and go!
LEADING UP TO THE JOURNEY:
Well before you leave the comfort of your home, the Light Grey staff will contact each person to coordinate arrival times and our rendezvous in Utah. Each participant will receive all of the information they'll need to pack, prepare, and get excited about our journey, along with a welcome email introducing you to your teammates.

If you are interested in continuing the adventure after your time with us, we recommend adding days AFTER your trip with Light Grey Art Lab, if possible! That way, you’ll be familiar with spaces we’re visiting and can adjust accordingly!
Please note that we take into consideration weather, seasonality of the program, and anything else that may disrupt enjoyment of the highlights during the trip and will adjust our schedule where needed in order to provide the best experience to all travelers!
OUR ART CAMP PROGRAMS INCORPORATE A VARIETY OF SITE VISITS, CREATIVE PROGRAMMING, LIGHT GREY ART LAB STAFF-LED WORKSHOPS AND LECTURES, AND A HEALTHY DOSE OF SPONTANEITY.
Utah’s unique landscape allows us to make the most out of the nooks and crannies of the spaces we visit. Our site visits will include a wide variety of ecologically specific spaces, wide-open vistas, secluded areas with very special significance, and visits to scenic overlooks, thematically specific shops, and areas of past and current cultural significance.
The Light Grey Art Lab team is celebrating our 8th year of travel programming, and we’ve created the ART CAMP itinerary to reflect a new set of priorities, such as more time out in the field creating, more great context for the area-specific points of interest, and natural significance of the spaces we visit, creative challenges and workshops, and more fun surprises than ever.
The Light Grey Art Lab staff will be curating this special program based on a variety of environmental factors, weather, and accessibility. Participants interested in having a thorough adventure should apply!

Light Grey Art Camp BRYCE CANYON: National Parks Program (5Days / 4Nights) $895 The base price includes lodging, meals, guided tours and lectures, and events that are part of the core program, as well as transportation from our rendezvous location in Saint George, Utah.
PAYMENT: We offer payment plans where requested and would be happy to help set one up for individuals interested in breaking up the program cost. Upon confirmation of your position in the program, we will reach out to assist you!
LODGING & OUR HOME:
Our Art Camps are for individuals looking for an intimate, camp-like atmosphere!
We share a home together during our stay where we enjoy family-style meals, round-table discussions and a lot of time bonding over activities in a shared space! We offer dormitory-style sleeping accommodations with roommates. We have coordinated an assortment of sleeping options, and couples are encouraged to apply together in order for us to assign the most comfortable sleeping arrangements for all. Our trips are planned with budget in mind and we do our best to keep the cost down by choosing spaces & places that allow us to share resources on our journey!
