The Light Grey Residency Program: Team Ógilt includes a diverse group of illustrators, designers, craftsmen, fine artists, video game designers, children's book illustrators and more. The Óglit residents hail from various areas of the United States, Canada, Brazil and Singapore.
Throughout the program, artists adventured through Southern Iceland, traveling along the coast to explore basalt beaches, ocean trolls, caves, glaciers, and old structures. The day excursions include hikes around boiling mud pots, sleeping volcanoes, basalt caves, geothermal pools and more.

Douglas Pryor is a raising, chasing, and repousse sheet metal artist. Douglas practices traditional technique based handcraft skills such as Iranian and Turkish silversmith vessel raising, European armoursmithing, and American blacksmithing and applies them to explore animalistic based sculpture in steel.

Rayanne Vieira is an ilustrator and animator, residing in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. She has a degree in Animation and Digital Arts and she hopes to, one day, direct her own show.
Currently she mainly works with children's illustration and backgrounds for animation. She loves drawing fairytale characters and kids. On her spare time, Rayanne is working on her first comic, a short story about freelance witches. When she's not drawing, she likes to bake bread, read graphic novels and walk around plants.
Jon Tiburzi

Jon Tiburzi is a game designer whose work focuses on the exploration of spaces and atmospheres, an interest of his that developed out of a love for nature and architecture. He began creating video games in middle school, and has since expanded into the fields of programming, electronic music composition, animation, and sound design. In 2016, he received a BA in Physics, Mathematics, and Studio Art from St. Olaf College, as well as published his first major game on the online distributor Steam. Jon’s games have also been showcased in several Minnesota art galleries. He recently completed a post-graduate artist residency, during which he collaborated internationally on a video game about procedurally-generated ambient music.

Vanessa Port graduated from Kent State University in 2014 with a degree in Visual Communication Design with a concentration in Illustration. After graduation, Vanessa was hired at American Greetings as product designer. Now, she currently works as a Digital Designer full time and does illustration freelance in Cleveland, OH with her two cats. She likes to find ways to incorporate new technology into her illustrations.
Her interests include true crime podcasts, fashion history, and volunteering.
Shanna Cundal

Shanna grew up in Washington state just outside of Olympia in a dinky little town called Elma before eventually settling in Vancouver B.C. After receiving a BFA in graphic design at the University of Washington, she realized her true passion was in animation. Soon after she moved to North Vancouver to attend Capilano University where she studied traditional 2D animation and has since worked in both feature and tv animation. She is currently working at DHX Media as a background artist.

Ashley completed her Masters Degree in Fine Arts at Chelsea College of Art & Design, London. She attained her BA (Hons) from LASALLE College of Arts, Singapore with first class honors. She has been the recipient of the Lasalle Award of Academic Excellence(2011), Winston Oh Travel Award(2010) and NAC scholarship (Local) in 2010. She has been included in numerous international group shows including the Art on Paper Biennial at Weatherspoon Museum, North Carolina USA and Ifa Gallery in Berlin, Germany. She also participates in international residencies including the Vermont Studio Center (USA, 2013), Arctic Circle Residency (Svalbard, 2014) and School of Visual Arts (USA, 2014).

Born among the vineyards of Sonoma County, California, Chelsea Harper grew up chasing stories. Writing, acting, singing, and drawing, she inevitably evolved into a freelance artist after studying Illustration and Visual Development at the Academy of Art University and the Santa Rosa Junior College. Since graduating AAU in 2016, she’s worked with comic artists Johnny Wander, Sarah Stone, and Tessa Stone, and has worked with Restoration Games on Indulgence, a trick taking card game, and with Cardboard Utopia on Children of Zodiarcs, an indie tactics game.She has also participated in several of Light Grey Art Lab’s exhibitions since spring 2017, including Camouflage, Parallel, Swarm and The Lost Isle of Kismet. Chelsea continues working in the field of freelance with the goal of stepping into the industry, working for either Gaming or Feature Film, eager to share her passion for strong and compelling storytelling.

Jay is a freelance illustrator, zine-maker, amateur photographer, and avid explorer. After receiving his BFA in Illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design in 2015, he and his dog made the big move out west to Portland, OR, where he is currently living and working and enjoying being part of a broader community of trans/queer artists.
Jay’s illustrative work combines realism with conceptual elements and focuses primarily on the connections within nature that are often overlooked. He enjoys creating work inspired by his travels and experiences and is never without a sketchbook.

Karen Krajenbrink is a Southern California native, now calling the Bay Area home. With her background in tv, film, and games, she's worked for small upstart companies to large studios like Universal Studios and Nickelodeon. Currently, she works as an associate art director for mobile games during the day, draws at night, and works on her micro-farm with her husband on the weekends. Her focus on her personal work is on watercolor illustration, animals, and story in its various forms.
