As part of our mission to connect artists through engaging and creative experiences, we are thrilled to announce the newest program:
Light Grey Art Camp International: Ireland Culture Tour.
In 2016, Light Grey Art Lab brought a small team of artists through the countryside of Ireland. We stepped through a window in time -- exploring ancient castles, abbeys, cathedrals, and structures dating back hundreds of years. We explored both the ancient relics and old time traditions as well as the contemporary culture and cities of Ireland.
During the 6 day program, we moved across the country in an exploratory journey touching on some of the most sublime landscapes, ancient structures, and culture. We were able to visit cities such as Kilkenny, Cobh, Cork, Limerick, Fanore, Doolin and Galway. We explored the ruins and historical structures such as the Hook Lighthouse, Tintern Abbey, Kilkenny Castle, cathedrals and fairy forts.
"It was an otherworldly experience filled with great conversations and adventure! I loved listening to the traditional music in pubs and learning how to set dance in Kilfenora. The entire journey left me inspired, invigorated, and in love with the country and people!"
Shared photo gallery and documentation coming soon.
