In 2016, we had the pleasure of hosting Light Grey Art Camp to Ouray, Colorado. It was a creative retreat in the Rocky Mountains full of exploring, winter activities, and many 'firsts' to ring in the new year!
The Art Camp included skiing in Telluride, CO, ice climbing in the Ouray Ice Park, ice skating in Mountain Villiage, visiting the neighboring ghost towns, hot springs, and a private tour of the Ouray Alchemy Museum.
Artists were able to explore the towns, antique shops, and enjoy the local culture. We spent most of the days out in the elements, and the nights in our cozy mountain cabin by the fire, playing board games, and making artwork.
"It was a wonderful winter retreat and a great start to the new year! I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and ready to tackle some new projects!"
"The beginning of the year often marks our accomplishments, forgone goals, and new aspirations. It is nice to spend the new year with people who are just as excited about trying something new and doing bigger things in 2016!"
